Start with the outcome

Brightening skincare is designed to support a clearer, more luminous and more even-looking complexion. Choose products according to your skin, the strength of the formula and the rest of your routine, and introduce stronger actives gradually.

The brightening actives

Kojic Acid

A well-known cosmetic brightening ingredient used in formulas for uneven-looking tone and visible dark spots. Explore the Kojic Acid guide.

Alpha Arbutin

A targeted brightening active commonly used in serums, toners and moisturisers for the appearance of uneven pigmentation and post-blemish marks. Explore the Alpha Arbutin guide.

Vitamin C

An antioxidant skincare ingredient used to support radiance and help defend against oxidative stress. Bubble Clinic uses different forms of vitamin C across cleansers, serums, facial oils and moisturisers. For a broader look at Kakadu Plum and other Australian botanical extracts used alongside modern skincare actives, explore Australian Native Botanicals | The Formula Edit.

Azelaic Acid

A versatile active used in routines addressing uneven-looking tone as well as blemishes and texture. Explore the Azelaic Acid guide.

Turmeric

A signature Bubble Clinic botanical used across several of our brightening cleansers and artisan soaps. Explore the Turmeric guide.

Vitamin C Cleanser + Kojic Acid

For the cleansing step, our Vitamin C Cleanser | Lemon Turmeric + 2% Kojic Acid is the citrus- and antioxidant-led brightening face wash in the Bubble Clinic range. It combines vitamin C with 2% kojic acid, turmeric, niacinamide and ferulic acid for routines focused on dullness, visible dark spots, pigmentation and uneven-looking tone.

If you are comparing a vitamin C face wash, brightening cleanser or cleanser for a dark-spot-focused routine, this formula provides a distinct alternative to our alpha-arbutin-led Turmeric Face Wash while keeping kojic acid and turmeric within the cleansing step.

Build a brightening routine

A simple routine can begin with a suitable cleanser, followed by one targeted toner or serum and a moisturiser. A face oil can be added after water-based steps when extra emollient support is preferred. Avoid introducing several potent active products simultaneously. During the day, broad-spectrum sunscreen is especially important when your goal is improving the appearance of uneven pigmentation.
